TIC Travel Insurance Coordinators Ltd. traces its roots back to 1967, when Peter Faulkner co-founded the Voyageur Travel Insurance Company and placed the first Excess Hospital and Medical policy in Canada with Lloyd's of London. In 1972 Mr. Faulkner launched Travel Insurance Coordinators Agencies Ltd., which was purchased by Ruth Simons, Peter’s daughter, in 1994.

Today, TIC is 100% owned by Co-operators Life, Canada’s largest Canadian-owned, multi-product insurer. With President Ruth Simons still at the helm, the company continues its tradition of providing Canadians and visitors to Canada with affordably priced, exceptional travel insurance products.
